Angelina Jolie has given new husband Brad Pitt a
wedding gift that will stand the test of time.
The Tomb Raider star bought the film hunk a watch so
rare it is thought to be worth £2million.
Her romantic gesture came to light after the 1952 Patek
Philippe platinum chronometer was taken to a small
shop by a friend to be inscribed with the words “To Roly
from Nessa”.
They are characters the newlyweds play in the film By
The Sea, which they are currently making in Malta.
George Farrugia, 57, who runs Dolindo Jewellers on the
neighbouring island of Gozo, said: “I did inscribe the
watch, it was for Brad and it was a rare one.
"Oh yes, it was very valuable.
“I wasn’t nervous about the inscription because I knew I
could do the work perfectly.”
Brad and Angelina, who wed last month after nine years
together, are keeping out of the limelight during the
project although they have taken their children –
Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Vivienne and Knox –
bowling in Gozo.
In November’s GQ magazine, Brad confirmed plans to
reduce his workload and spend more time with Angelina
and the kids.
He said: “I’ve been slowing down for a while and
transitioning to other things.”
