2Face Idibia today launched his foundation's anti-
electoral violence campaign today tagged “Vote Not
Fight” and “Election no be War” Campaign, as part of
his efforts toward lending his voice to issues of voter
awareness.
In his remarks 2Face Idibia said that the campaign was
born “out of love and the desire to have one Nigeria, a
Nigeria of our dream.” He observed that “most of the
time the youth are the people used for violence and the
only time dey no dey use the youth na wen dey wan
chop the money, but for every other destructive aspects
it’s the youth that they use.”
“This whole idea is to sensitize the youths and get them
involved,” he said.
The highlight of the launch was the official debut of the
"VOTE NOT FIGHT" campaign pledge by the music icon
himself as well as Mrs. Yemisi Ransome Kuti and Yemi
Adamolekun of the Enough is Enough Nigeria.
Other speakers at the event included Efe Omorogbe, and
Kingsley.
The voter education campaign is aimed at promoting
peaceful participation by Nigerian youth in the 2015
elections. The campaign seeks to encourage youth to
make a commitment to shun violence and embrace
